Chloe Sherkat is a California-barred attorney with roots in Kansas City as well as Laguna Beach. She gained an appreciation for art, travel, and entertainment at a young age and was heavily influenced by her family, who are also artists from Iran. Her knowledge and creative spirit grew in Laguna Beach, where you can find art around every corner.
Chloe became interested in law during her study abroad experiences in Spain and France. She interned in Paris for the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the U.S. Department of State. As a representative from the United States, she drafted policies and recommendations using evidence-based international standards to solve various social, economic, and environmental challenges. She recently took her first trip to Asia and explored Taiwan and Vietnam. The experience of traveling and being in new places has been significant in her life and taught her how to appreciate all cultures and people.
Chloe’s curiosity for entertainment also grew as she admired her uncle, a Saturday Night Live director. She gained an appreciation of old Hollywood by watching TCM movies with her family. She found that entertainment law perfectly combines her interest in supporting creatives as an attorney. Chloe is now a Staff Attorney and Program Coordinator for California Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit that provides legal services to artists and members of the creative arts community.
She aims to gain experience in the tech, entertainment, and media realm and expand diversity initiatives in the U.S. and abroad.
